Wyzoo is a young company and we're hiring an experienced Sales Executive to join our sales team to primarily focus on selling professional services to the direct marketing community. This new position will engage prospects and customers on the topics of their data and advanced analytics initiatives and help them develop a more efficient approach, leveraging the capabilities of our team (professional services) and automated solutions that promote marketing intelligence, improving decisions related to direct marketing.

We’re looking for a highly driven sales rep who is interested in hunting for new mid-market business; a high impact individual who can express passion about new technologies and possibilities of Big Data and Advanced Analytics. The Sales Executive is responsible for the entire sales cycle, while being able to leverage various company resources, to reach a successful collaboration with the prospect. Your focus will be to generate sales opportunities for specialized services: modeling, analytics & professional services. Our professional services offerings include consulting services, helping to identify the most appropriate open source or commercial platform for your direct marketing use case, and marketing data operations staffing services to clients nationally. Our expertise pairs nicely with organizations who have made investments in tools such as Alteryx, Pentaho and Talend and our talented team is eager to show them how to do more with their data.

You’ll also work with cross-functional teams to help align our product roadmap and marketing materials with customer feedback.

This will initially be an individual contributor role, with management and team building responsibilities as opportunities warrant. Success will come from working collaboratively with your peers, pushing yourself and working hard to become the true subject matter expert and valued partner to every client you engage with.

Main Responsibilities:

The role will also include significant consulting / client facing work comprised of:

  • Responsible for sales from paid Professional Services and Solutions
  • Identify opportunities to generate new business and revenue
  • Achieve new business goals within key target verticals
  • Demonstrate an understanding of how analytic technologies and capabilities are utilized to deliver optimized and efficient marketing campaigns
  • Utilize solutions-based consultative sales approach to help develop ROI-based solutions for clients and prospects
  • Develop and help manage relationships with prospects, key clients and high-level contacts
  • Increase revenue of the Company by achieving financial targets
  • Develop specific knowledge about the client, their marketing goals and strategic requirements
  • Work as part of a team in solution development, proposal creation and presentation
  • Think strategically and offer creative solutions
  • Maintain an understanding of key industry trends and competitive issues and products
  • Practice effective, excellent communication with management, customers and internal teams
  • Accurately track and report all metrics in CRM (Salesforce, Hubspot); forecast sales activity and revenue achievement

Main Requirements:

  • Experience selling professional services, winning logos, and building territories
  • Strong belief in a customer-centric selling philosophy and applying a consultative approach in customer interactions
  • Background in selling innovation and new concepts to mid-market
  • Track record of sales success
  • Need to be a go-getter with an extreme high level of energy and positive phone demeanor who will pick up the phone every day and find leads
  • Superior closing skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree, or higher
  • Willing to travel to customers and prospects as needed; travel up to 30%

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in ‘data’ – big data, analytics, data science, BI/DW, data integration
  • Background in selling innovation and new concepts to mid-market
  • Early start-up experience
  • Comfortability selling an advanced analytics solution that empowers organizations to solve their most difficult data science problems
  • Extensive contacts in prospective client industries such as the catalog marketing/mail-order retailer, business intelligence (BI), data warehousing solutions, or data modeling and analytics
  • Experience in, or exposure to, direct marketing projects, campaigns or industry
